Why Not Consider Lanscaping As A Career
I have always found the field of landscaping to be one of the most stimulating ones that exist. You see, I am probably a career counselor, but I have not gotten to this position in the common way. I have attempted almost everything, which makes me perfectly qualified to recommend people on their possible future careers. All the decisions that are available to your average folks, I think landscaping roles one of the finest of them. You see, landscape roles pose several edges over most blue collar occupations. For one thing, landscaping jobs offer reasonably high primary pay. Although the pay is not great, it’s way better than just about anything that you can get with no formal education. If you’re physically capable of the manual labour, and are good at putting things together, you can turn a part-time landscaping job into a landscaping career with ease.
Landscaping jobs are excellent for me for several reasons. First, there is work available all year round. From planting flowers and shrubs in spring to cutting grass in the summer, raking leaves in the fall, and clearing away snow in winter, I knew that I would always have something lined up whenever I had time off from school. 2nd, I would much rather work outside than cooped up in a store or office. With landscaping roles, I’d be ready to enjoy clean air and get a great workout every single day. And 3rd, I could earn a lot more at landscaping roles than at retail outlets, restaurants, or other places like that. Since one of my main goals is to make as much cash as practicable while on break, landscaping jobs do very well.
Another feature of landscaping jobs is they provide folks who have difficulty in traditional instructional institutions with a method to make a life for themselves. In landscaping roles, particularly if you are working for a small contractor or are self-employed, it isn’t how good you look on paper that matters most of the time, but whether you can get the job done. If you have good talents and good landscaping concepts, you have all that you need. Mix these with basic interpersonal skills, and you’ll be able to sell yourself to virtually any client. After all, people with the money to hire a landscape gardener love to have their gardens look good. If you have good landscape concepts and have the ability to implement them, people will be willing to pay you a good sum to do landscaping jobs around the house.
Of course, landscaping jobs do have their drawbacks. There is a pretty high risk of injury, and nearly not one of the landscaping jobs have sufficient job security if you’re injured. In fact , you are sometimes required to work as an independent contractor, that means that you think your own risk. If you should chance to be hurt well on the landscaping job, you are largely out of luck unless you have a great support system. Also, because landscaping roles are at will, if you don’t get along with your boss there is very tiny you can do. You might be fired for almost nothing, even if you did zip wrong. In spite of all this, I think that landscaping roles could be a great option for many folks, as long as they are galvanized self-starters.
