The best technology to run your business
I have been perplexed for a while with my bookkeeping and I wanted to share with you a shortcut that I found after a lot of trial and error. Everyone who starts or manages a business has ’more important’ things to do with their time than spend time on their accounting. Accounting is a ‘chore’ that very few people enjoy doing but should be done on a consistent basis to avoid problems.
I asked my bookkeeper for guidance and he convinced me I should use Sage Software which turned out to be a small business accounting software package. I immediately went out and purchased the package without even considering if it was the right choice. This was probably one of the worst mistakes I made as the application turned out to be really hard to get to grips with and use. To be frank whenever I find the word accounting together with the word software I am always reminded of the first piece of advice I must share with you and that is most small business accounting software makes the assumption you have a good practical knowledge of bookkeeping.
Just like me small business managers are masters of their craft and what they sell and not accounting but in my case I was driven to allocate time to finding a solution that would work for me. It was really worthwhile doing this as I found a more useful solution than I could ever of imagined called salesorder.com.
This is definitely the easiest software I have ever found and what’s more it is net based and therefore I can use it from anywhere I choose to work. Better still and the third piece of advice I want to tell you is that the team who work at salesorder.com are not just very knowledgeable of their service but they know a significant amount about the problems of operating a small enterprise and have taught me the bookkeeping I need to know.
