The Return of MLM Scams

As many of you may well remember, pyramid schemes were big some twenty years ago. However, instead of being referred to as pyramid schemes nowadays, they’re being called MLM scams.

Essentially Multi-Level Marketing, or simply MLM is a new form of pyramid scheme and of course, they should be avoided like the plague. It’s important to realize that only those who are at the top actually make money, while for those at the bottom, it’s virtually impossible to make anything. If you really want to make money online, then you’d be far better of to steer well clear of these scams.

Essentially, with a MLM system, there will be a single company or person right at the very top of the ladder who then uses external affiliates to market their product or service. The person who is second from the top will then forward all business on to the top person in exchange for commission.

As this second person expands his customer base, all the money being made from sales they generate, ends up with the person or company at the top. In order for you to qualify for any commission, you would first have to purchase the goods or service yourself. Only then would you be able to receive commission from any sales you generate.

The usual result of these MLM scams is that people at the bottom end up purchasing more products and services than what they actually require and as such, they lose money. In theory, they should be able to recover these costs simply by getting more people to join but unfortunately, this rarely ever happens.

While you are not a traditional salesman, you are effectively filling the same role, with the only difference being, you’ll end up spending far more than you ever make.

Please, if you want to earn real money online, avoid these scams altogether. Instead, rather look for an honest way to earn money, such as online typing jobs. Providing you know how to type, and you have enough experience to find your way around on the internet, you can earn an attractive income based on how much you work.

How do you File Unemployment the correct way?

Do you know How to File Unemployment the correct way?

Filing incorrectly will result in an outright denial of benefits, a delay or being awarded less than the full amount.

As you transition between jobs, knowing the correct way to file unemployment can result in up to ,000 in benefits during your search.

Unemployment is not intended to replace your income. It is intended to help you through the time required to become re-employed. That said, a job search can take weeks, even months putting a serious strain on any budget.

Considering these 7 major factors will help you a great deal when you file unemployment.

1. Are you unemployment Eligible? Because unemployment is a state benefit and not a federal benefit, eligibility varies widely across the country. There is much more to merely being unemployed or being laid off. Along with being fired from or quitting a job, you can also file unemployment claims if you are under-employed. Next, will you remain eligible? It is possible to be disqualified before you file unemployment, during the filing period, or during the continued benefits time period.

2. Award. We will assist you in determining how much you can receive in unemployment benefits. People are at times given a small amount such as 0 a month, but are required to continually file paperwork to recieve even that amount, and often this makes it not worth the time required to fill out the paperwork.

3. When to file unemployment claim. You should generally file immediately upon your job dismissal. That said, your case may vary based on your state, and the nature of your termination, so “file unemployment” immediately is definitely not a one-size-fits-all strategy. In one case, we assisted a young woman who had her claim delayed for weeks because she filed for unemployment too early. If you are involved in a workman’s compensation case, you should complete that before you file unemployment.

4. How to File Unemployment. Forty four states allow people to file unemployment claims online. It’s typical that you must provide supporting evidence when filiing a claim with the state. Deleting or adding information is not an option once the application is made. Make sure the information with your claim is correct, and accurate.

5. Supporting Documentation and Arguments. We can recommend several strategies based on your personal information for you to use on your appication. It is important for these arguments to be based on the facts. That said, you may wish to present the facts in a certain way depending on your state’s laws, and the how your former employer states their case. Generally, if you quit your job, in order to be eligible, there needs to be one of a few specific reasons present. These might include workplace safety issues including sexual or gender harassment, issues at home such as to prevent domestic abuse of a minor child or dependent elderly parent, or transportation issues such as car failure when no suitable alternative exists such as a bus.

6. Finally, regardless of the state’s decision, you have a right to appeal. Ever heard this saying…”You can wrestle with a pig, but the pig enjoys it and you just get filthy”. While state employees prefer not to deal with appeals, and in some cases it can be a waste of time, other times it can result in the awarding of full unemployment benefits.

Last, here are a few common mistakes that will save you time and hassle. The tips above are excerpts from our full guide packed with help on how to file unemployment, designed to save you time and money and hassle, get you the maxiumum benefits, and help you financially with our 9-step re-employment system. Here are 3 common mistakes (naturally, our guide has many more you can avoid):

1. File unemployment on Monday. If you like staying on hold, or waiting at the office, filing on Monday morning is best left to the overwhelming majority who are dismissed on Friday and then file on Monday. Instead, use Monday to reach valued contacts at your former employer to ask their help for referrals to other companies who are hiring. Certain states prohibit using the previous week in support of an unemployment claim if the claim is made using the Internet.

2. Not using one’s social network. Relationships play an integral role in finding employment, as over 40% of hires are made due to a relationship. The people who know you are a far better resource in your job search than job boards or classified ads.

3. Providing too much information on your application can lead to disqualification. Although we cannot anticipate every situation, the best advice is to keep any information you provide to a minimum. These days, anyone wanting to file unemployment should know the system is stretched thin, and as a result, the slightest mistake will be enough to result in denial.

Unemployment is tough. It impacts more than just your pocketbook, it impacts your entire life. Ever noticed that when the highest-paid exectutives manage to get million-dollar severance packages, and no matter what seem ok? This guide can help you make the best of this unemployment situation. You can profit from a change of employment if done right. If handled incorrectly, your career, as well as your finances, will suffer.

How To Stay Positive When Looking For A Job

One of the most draining experiences one can endure is the job search. At first, it seems simple to develop a cover letter and update your resume, but when a job search wears on, you can get pretty worn down. When a job search lasts for more than a month or two, this can become exceptionally true.

If you have been searching for a job for a while and are tired, feeling discouraged, and just want a break, it’s time to employ some rules that will help you to stop overextending yourself. Before you hit the job search market, it’s important to consider how an extended search for the right job can affect you physically, emotionally, and physically, and how you can keep your head up during the process.

Remember that Job Seeking is Job Within Itself

Many people take for granted the amount of energy required to conduct a job search. Neither your mind nor your body are prepared for the activity. This means, you have to get yourself used to performing these tasks everyday – almost like learning to ride a bike. Over time, you can get tired of the job search just as you can a job you work every day. It’s very important to take some time off during a job search, and letting yourself adapt to the “learning curve.”

Take Care of Your Entire Self

You may be used to thinking of yourself as a “worker” and now that you’re out of work and searching for employment, you’re struggling to regroup. While you’re job searching, you should develop yourself mentally and physically in order to keep your motivation levels high.

For instance, you might have been accustomed to physical activities before you started your last job, but let those die down as you traded them for hard days at work. Whether you’re into running, basketball, or something else, you now have the time to get back into your physical activity and improve your body. Also, it’s good to watch your diet. You’ll feel much better if you eat good foods, including vegetables, fruits, and lean meats. When you exercise and keep your diet up to snuff, every part of you will feel better.

On the emotional side of things, it’s good to pay attention to how you’re feeling during your job search. You’ll be more motivated and better able to deal with the emotional stress if you keep a diary about your search for a job. Your mind can also get pretty stressed, so try yoga or other forms of meditation to help you stay grounded.

Conducting a job search for a long period of time is definitely a tall order. It’s something you don’t want to take for granted because the wear and tear can drain you before you know it. So while you’re vigorously searching for work, make sure to explore how you’re feeling physically, mentally and emotionally. This will help to prepare you for not just the job search, but also interviews, and essentially your first day on your new job.

Interview Tips That Work

Free Interviews - Interview Questions - Interview Answers - Resume Help Free

If you fear rejection due to your age that can be very hectic . The secret of having a fine interview is in selling your strengths—and that means being positive and parking your baggage at the door.
When you put in for a trade, you know exactly what you’re looking for. You want a corporation you love, great co-workers, a decent salary, a culture where you fit in and, most key, you want to love what you’ll be doing.

But do you ever consider what the employer is looking for in its employees? These days, competition is steep among profession seekers; it’s critical to know what employers want in an member of staff before going into an interview so applicants can sell how they would be an asset to the company.

If you do not do the research, how are you going to tell them why you are the perfect aspirant. “Understanding what the company’s is looking for ahead of the interview is so that the applicant can be sure to communicate all of the information that is likely to be most relevant to the boss.”

Take time to know your future employers this will help you to anticipate questions and you will be able to arrange your talking points.

Long-term potential
Why it’s important: workers want to see their future within a company so they are motivated and excited about their career path, the business’s future and their role in it, says Frank Johnson, Founder of Peaks and Barrels. From the manager perspective, you want people in your organization to work their way up to the top. It is best to have someone who is multidimensional and can develop with the corporation.
“Give a real-life example or ask questions that demonstrate that you have thought about this,” Johnson says. Here is an example of an effective question, ‘The successful aspirant will have opportunity for advancement, what will that look like for this roll? Are there any current examples within your business?’”

Work well with your peers
Why it’s central:
“We spend a lot of time at work; there is nothing worse than someone who cannot get along with others,” Larkin says. It is helpful to understand the unwritten rules, respect, reliability, and competence.”
“Tell a story,” Larkin suggests. For example, “I was interviewing someone for a job and asked about a situation where he had experienced a challenging situation at work.He told me about a situation where the business had a major deadline and needed everybody to help. He was able to pause what he was working on and pitch in, working late hours to help the team meet the deadline.”

victoryful at generating revenue
Why it’s imperative:
Hiring managers want people who can prove that they will increase the organization’s revenues or decrease its costs, Johnson says. “During a recession, revenues are intricate for organizations to generate and employerss have typically already cut their costs about as much as they can. Their emphasis is on increasing their revenues.”
“company love metrics. The more you can enumerate your work, the better,” Larkin says. Some positions are easier to tell than others, but it can be done and we recommend you do it. “If you’re a law clerk, estimate how many minutes a day your work has saved your previous managers by looking at how much faster it is for people to access the information they need,” he says.

Impressive resume
Why it’s significant:
“A resume is a person’s billboard; a reflection of the applicant in the eyes of the reader,” says Rachel Ryan, president of RNRcatecure. “First impressions are lasting ones and a resume is often the vehicle to either make a beneficial impression or a poor one.”
“Make sure several people review the resume for content, style and accuracy. Co workers that give the best constructive criticism are usually very skeptical to begin with. If a person has no comments, try another, and another, to obtain the collective wisdom of peers,” Ryan says.

Show relevance in your work experience
Why it’s crucial:
“Experience levels generally allow a person to hit the ground running without a lot of hand-holding,” Ryan says. Training and mentoring is not the same when you are new worker as was in the past.”
“Be prepared to offer up quality references to substantiate your background and experience. References are key sometime when the career is up for grabs by more than one very qualified applicant.

Inventive problem-solving skills
Why it’s vital: “
Managers know that in business, the office dynamic changes daily. As soon as we think all is fine, the economy changes or the competition makes a surprise move and the company’s own strategy must change,” says Larkin. “A person who gets locked into a set way of doing things finds it hard or impossible to adjust”. “They are a drag on the business as opposed to an asset for it.”
“Know how to tackle challenges and opportunities in a way no one will find in a textbook. Einstein used to approach his theories by thinking of childlike fantasies and working backwards to reality. Talk about how an approach like this is built into your DNA. “You will be marketing yourself as a one-of-a-kind,” Larkin says.

Strong online presence
Why it’s essential: “
Social networking has become the primary way that people communicate. But it is a double-edged sword. Company’s have access to your personal life, likes and dislikes, political views, helpful and bad behavior. Because of that exposure and the speed at which information is distributed, it is critical that you be digitally dirt-free, especially when profession hunting,” says Ryan.
“Social networking doesn’t have to be negative in your profession hunt; you can use it to your advantage. Social networking references are very acceptable these days. Find people within the company that can speak highly of you to help you.

Assertive people who thrive on multitasking
Why it’s crucial:
“Business today moves at supersonic speed, and effectively managing a variety of different projects simultaneously is essential,” says Johnson. “If an individual demonstrates a passion for learning new things and enjoys a variety of work, chances are she is also ambitious and inquisitive — two qualities that are critical to success and advancement.”
“Don’t be shy about asking for additional assignments and offering to handle other aspects of a project than you might usually handle. Make it clear to your manager that you have a passion for learning new things and volunteer to take on extra work, even if it means putting in additional hours,” Larkin says.

The enthusiastic always show initiative
Why it’s crucial: “
If you show consistent enthusiasm and take initiative on the employment, you can count on being noticed and rewarded. {Every business looks to put their most enthusiastic people forward with central clients and customers,” Larkin says}. Go above and beyond this shows your team spirit and it also conveys that you are willing to put in the effort to help the corporation succeed.”
“Don’t forget to say, ‘first-rate salutations’ with a lilt in your voice; when you pass someone in the hall, smile and say, ‘Hello,’” Larkin reminds. “It’s easy to clam up around top management when you are new to the business world, but showing confidence and a comfort level with people more senior to you will lead to your being considered for more challenging work.”

Fit into the office dynamic
Why it’s central:
Recruiters are pressured to find the right match for a corporation; “Applicants are under pressure to Creatively differentiate themselves and demonstrate a desire to succeed”, says Johnson. “Managers are always thinking of how you will fit in.”
“Look for different ways — a personal blog or Twitter — to deliver your message about what makes you a great cultural fit. Find ways to incorporate specific examples that illustrate the cultural competencies they are looking for, like flexibility, leadership or teamwork, as this will help employerss understand you’re serious and excited about the position,” Johnson says.

Do you know there is a way to interview and get the employment every time? You are at the right place now ace the interview. There are so many little things someone can do to make sure they ace the interviewing process.
Here are just a few things to get you started:

1. Show up a few minutes early to collect yourself. HERE, don’t miss this. It is imperative you understand that the interview is your only chance to make the winning impression. When it comes down to you and another applicant you will win every time because you have prepared and you are on time.

2. Be prepared by only having what you need ready and available. I am not referring to just your resume, but everything else in your portfolio as well. You want to show the hiring manager that you have thoroughly planed for the interview.

3. Sincerity is going to be your best strength. Make eye contact, be honest, and give examples. Don’t let your nerves take over. While interviewing don’t miss out on the chance to show them you want it to be a first-class fit as well.

4. Last, you need to follow up diligently. Be sure to thank you interviewer for their time by sending a follow up email as well as a hand written letter as well. You will enjoy your interview if you are diligent in your preparation.

Here are a few basic tips to get you started. The interview process may seem like a wild card, but there are so many small tricks you can do to make a great lasting impression & land the job. For more tips check out our interview resource page and happy career hunting!

Executives: Are You Worth the Investment?

As an executive, you are probably well aware of what the acronym ROI means: return on investment. In business, returns need to be all but guaranteed to make an investment worth while.

As you know, companies must consider the same concept when looking at employees to hire. They must feel confident that they will receive a great return on their investment. When a return isn’t guaranteed, you won’t be hired. How can you prove that you’re worth more to a company than they’ll invest in hiring you? Here are a few ideas to consider …

Look at Your Revenue

If there were quantifiable parts to your previous job, you want to make sure to put them into numbers on your executive resume that will help illustrate your success. Revenue is one crucial area–show prospects that you turned into sales, major business deals, and other revenue you’d earned for your previous employers.

For instance, you might note that you not only were able to slash hiring expenses by cutting advertising costs (advertised on free websites), but you were able to create a stellar staff that increased revenue by X amount of dollars over a year’s time. Using numbers is critical when trying to show the return on investment that you represent for a prospective employer at the executive level.

How Productive Was Your Staff?

Companies spend a lot of time looking at productivity, since they’re as aware as you are that time is worth money, and improving productivity decreases operating costs. If you can look at productivity in practical terms, this is a good idea.

As an example, you can show the time it took you to finish a large project that led to a revenue increase of 3% in a given year. As an example, consider a project that employed 20 workers for 12 weeks with 40 hour per week shifts, and a cost of per hour. The cost of this was ,000. Let’s say that you also invested in training resources of 0 per employee, and software updates that cost K but cut the project down to six weeks. A final project cost at ,000 indicates company savings of ,000, along with 3 percent improved revenue and process efficiency increases that allow employees to begin work on other projects.

Other Numbers to Think About

If your segment of the company didn’t work in terms of revenue, you can still note numbers that represent progress. For example, if you’d managed customer service, use the metrics that you used in your old department to show improvements in customer satisfaction. Many companies consider the time frame of each customer service call or the number of calls taken on an average business day to find results, so think logically and come prepared.

Remember, just like on your previous jobs, prospective employers want to know their potential ROI when looking at candidates. Since this is something you’re used to doing, show them exactly why they should hire you by giving examples they can understand.

What You Need to Know: Medical Records Transcription Basics

Chances are that you have at least heard of medical records transcription and how it can be done at home. While the idea that such a career can be done from home is very intriguing, it helps so much more to know what it is and how you can become a part of it. People from all walks of life are looking for something to do to earn money. Some people want a full-time career, while others just want a part-time job. Medical transcriptionist work is possible for anyone who is willing to take the time to learn and apply themselves toward building a better future.

So first off, what is medical records transcription? Simply put, it is a career that centers around typing outpatient medical records. If you have ever been to a doctor’s office, I’m sure you’ve noticed that when the doctor comes in to see you that he has with him a folder full of papers. When he is talking to you, he usually glances through the pages within the folder. This folder contains your medical records, which are necessary to obtain for reference on the physician’s part.

The doctor will most likely speak into a small tape recorder during or after your visit about everything that was said about exactly why you are there including your complaints, a list of medications you are taking, and previous treatments for your current problem. Each piece of information your doctor records into his tape recorder about you and your situation must be typed by a transcriptionist.

This is a smart choice for a career because there are so many options. If you choose, you do not have to work at home because there are also positions located in doctors’ offices and hospitals for medical transcriptionists. However, if you are like most people, you enjoy your freedom and the comfort of working at home.

People from all over have become interested in working at home. Some have succeeded, while others have not. Medical records transcription allows you to succeed because it is a career that is very popular. Hospitals, clinics, and doctors’ office from across the world need people who are trained in medical records transcription.

I don’t want to lie to you and say that there aren’t other terrific work-from-home jobs available. There are, but none are quite like medical transcriptionist jobs. There are paying surveys, blogs, affiliate marketing programs, home business packages, and telemarketing jobs just to name a few. Do any of them require skill? Most do not. Is it worth it? The answer is that in the end, small-time jobs like those listed are not worth it and will most likely not get you very far, at least not as far as medical records transcription.

The reason for this is that the pay is amazing. Did you know that there are people who make up to $100,000.00 per year just by transcribing medical reports? Believe it or not, it’s the truth. The median salary for this career is around $48,000.00 a year, which is a lot per week. I don’t know about you, but I think that is pretty good for a job that allows you to create your own schedule, stay home with your family, and work until you have made what you want to earn.

So, on top of all of the greatness that medical transcription already has, it also allows for endless prosperity. There are no limits, except for the ones you set for yourself. If you want a real career with real meaning, medical records transcription is for you.

The Importance of Data Entry Employment

A controversial subject of debate online is the validity of data entry employment as widely advertised on the Internet. Such work offers appear because of the continuous expansion of companies that need as many people as possible to handle their huge amount of information. Without data entry and data processing, the handling of information in an efficient and relevant way would not be possible. It is thus more than obvious why the name of Information Age best describes our times. Well, through data entry employment, computers receive information, machines get operational and lots of tasks are performed from the clerical point of view.

People who are qualified for data entry employment include data entry keyers, typists, electronic data processors, transcribers, word processors, keypunch technicians and so on. What is these people’s job? Well, from reports and label mailing to handling any form of text, data processors do all the work. Moreover, addressing envelops and the preparation of computer standard forms represent other attributes of the job. The more experienced one is in this field of data entry employment, the higher the degree of accuracy required from him/her. Very technical material will only be entrusted to senior word processors for instance.

Action follows a similar course of development when it comes to very complex statistical data and the rearrangement of materials from different sources. This is the reason why data entry employment requires tests prior to hiring. Even when one is hired to do the data entry work at home, the need for a computer and some skills remains valid. The PC allows one to revise, edit and store reports, forms, statistical tables and memos and all sorts of other materials that can be printed or sent by fax, mail or email. Sometimes whole teams of workers match the data entry employment necessities of special company departments.

Data entry employment could apply to different work environments in close connection with the form of activity available with a certain company. The majority of the positions are those of regular office jobs, but in more recent years there is a growing tendency to take data entry work at home. Some employees evenget their PCs linked to the company’s main office through special communication lines. The work environment is thus more relaxed and stress free, allowing for better task performance than in a regular office.
